I am incredibly stoked to have won first prize in the inaugural International Sing Finzi competition! I’ve been hooked on Finzi ever since I heard a friend and fellow student sing Channel Firing in my first year undergrad in NZ.
MASSIVE props to my amazing duo partner Gamal Khamis – couldn’t have done it without him! Congrats to lovely Siân Dicker, Steven McGhee (the winning pianist) and all finalists, and thanks to Boosey & Hawkes and the Finzi Trust for running such an accessible and innovative competition.
