Kieran Rayner

Since moving to London in 2014, award-winning Kiwi baritone Kieran Rayner has established himself as “a very fine actor and fluidly expressive singer” (Theatreview) with “the most sheerly beautiful voice” (The Stage). A hugely versatile and talented performer, he has starred as characters ranging from “intimate and expressive” (Bachtrack), to “excellently funny” (Classical Source), to “gloriously slimy” (Planet Hugill), to “as malicious as they come” (Opera News). Equally at home on the opera stage, recital circuit, or theatre boards, he has sung solo at Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Wigmore Hall, and across Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Islands.

He has won the International SING FINZI Competition, was a London Handel Festival Competition Finalist, a Wigmore Hall International Song Competition semifinalist, and was a Royal Over-Seas League and Emmy Destinn Czech Song Competition prizewinner. 

As a writer-performer, he has written two interactive play-recitals, combining choose-your-own-adventure branching narratives with art song and spoken word, the second of which he performed on the West End.

As a voice actor, he has narrated the audiobook Under Southern Stars by Cari Blake, published on Audible, with further titles currently in production.
