De Brétigny – Manon, Wellington Opera

4 August @ 6:30 pm NZST

Wellington Opera proudly presents Manon, one of the most popular and enduring works in French opera, starring internationally acclaimed Kiwi singers Amina Edris, Pene Pati, and Phillip Rhodes. Kieran Rayner plays de Brétigny, Manon’s rival lover.

Amina Edris enchants audiences worldwide with her radiant soprano voice and captivating stage presence, while Pene Pati is beloved by many for his role in the chart-topping trio Sol3 Mio, and has since become one of the most sought-after tenors on the global stage. We welcome Phillip Rhodes back to the company following his previous critically acclaimed performances.

Wellington Opera brings these wonderful Kiwi artists home to perform this sumptuous masterpiece at the St James Theatre, Wellington with French conductor Romain Dumas and Aotearoa’s renowned opera director Sara Brodie.

Manon runs for a limited season, 1st – 7th August 2026.
