Kieran will be singing solos in this year’s Christmas Gala Concert for the Josephine Baker Trust, which organises and supports hundreds of oratorio and choral concerts all around the UK every year.

Epsom Choral Society, accompanied by the Regent Sinfonia orchestra and six professional soloists and directed by Julian Collings are to perform Handel’s great oratorio “Israel in Egypt”. Kieran will sing one of the bass roles.
Kieran features as the title role in Mendelssohn’s epic oratorio Elijah.

Handel Theodora 180’
Kieran will feature as a Britten Pears Young Artist in the first course of 2018, Handel’s Theodora. Renowned British Handelians Sarah Connolly and Christian Curnyn prepare this dramatic oratorio in masterclasses before presenting a concert performance as part of Snape Maltings’ Easter Weekend programme.
‘Find anything exciting happening in period opera in the UK and [Christian] Curnyn will be involved’ says The Spectator. True, Handel’s Theodora is technically an oratorio rather than an opera, but the inspiration, characterisation and sheer emotional power of this tale of martyrdom and loyalty in the early Church give it a sense of drama that sweeps all before it. Ceaselessly inventive, its scenes of meditative contemplation of love and faith contain some of Handel’s most ravishing music.

Kieran has been selected for the prestigious Verbier Festival Atelier Lirique 2018, focusing on Lieder and Art Song. He will sing in masterclasses with Thomas Quasthoff among other singers, and perform in concerts in picturesque Verbier, Switzerland.

With gorgeous period costumes and designs, and featuring much of Puccini’s most lyrical music, including the Humming Chorus, Flower Duet, the stunning aria in “Un bel dì,” and a spine-tingling climax.
Performed in English by a lineup of top New Zealand singers, this will be directed by Alex Galvin and conducted by Matthew Ross, with support from the Eternity Chamber Orchestra.
